Home » Treatments » Early pregnancy scan. All women can have an early pregnancy scan within the first weeks of pregnancy. When you book an early pregnancy scan with us you will receive complimentary black and white pictures of your pregnancy and a printed report that you can show your GP or antenatal clinic, should you wish to. All of our early pregnancy scans are performed by our experienced consultant gynaecologists and sonographers, who have the expertise to answer any questions you may have. We understand that early pregnancy can be a stressful time for some women, so our sonographers are more than happy for you to bring along a partner, friend or family member. The test can also determine the sex of your baby, should you want to know.

Early pregnancy scan

Learn more about the range of ultrasound scans available, such as dating and anomaly scans. If you are pregnant in England you will be offered 2 ultrasound scans: An ultrasound scan at around 11 to 14 weeks of pregnancy and one at around weeks. If it is deemed medically necessary you may be offered additional viability scans in early pregnancy or growth scans after 21 weeks.
