I recently started dating a guy who is hot AF, smart, and super charming. But behind this mask of ultra- confidence lies a fragile self-esteem , vulnerable to the slightest criticism. While most of us are guilty of some of the following behaviors at one time or another, a pathological narcissist tends to dwell habitually in several of the following personas, while remaining largely unaware of or unconcerned with how her or his actions affect others.
This is such an important question because being in a relationship with a narcissist can make you very unhappy. Narcissists are often very popular and greatly admired. Narcissists make you feel amazing, often by giving lavish praise and compliments. When a narcissist tells you they love you, they actually love the way it feels when you admire them.
