LoginWelcome to Scotsnet - discuss all aspects of life in Scotland, including relocating, schools and local areas. My DD's a first year at Glasgow. She's in halls this year, but aiming to rent with a couple of pals next. They know flats can be tough to find around the Uni, so they're wondering when they should start looking - they're guessing before the summer rush. I'm a bit worried she'll end up paying rent over the summer when she's not even there, but maybe that's the norm?

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share my experience on how to find accommodation as a visiting student at the University of Glasgow. Personally as a student, I am on a budget when it comes to my monthly expenses so I am always interested in good plans to save up some money when possible, and I know a lot of students are in the same situation. Talking about monthly expenses, your rent will clearly represent a big part of it, so knowing all the options available to you when it comes to your future accommodation is a must!
