NBC Pulls Eva Longoria’s ‘Ready for Love’ From Schedule

Divorced Eva Longoria is ready to help single women around the country get their groove back. The Desperate Housewives star is developing a series with NBC to help "real women" get back into the dating pool after messy breakups. Longoria was compelled to split from the San Antonio Spurs player after she discovered hundreds of inappropriate texts between him and another woman, their close pal Erin Barry. Enlisting the help of celebrity matchmakers including Steve Ward and Amber Kelleher , Longoria's project — as first reported by The New York Post 's Page Six — is expected to go into production next month. Longoria recently confirmed to People magazine that she's dating entrepreneur Ernesto Arguello, one of three bachelors who went looking for love on the reality show. The show featured three men -- Arguello, hospital CEO Ben Patton and Plain White T's band member Tim Lopez -- looking for love among 12 bachelorettes chosen especially for them by three professional matchmakers. Longoria credits the media with helping to nudge her into a relationship with Arguello. Longoria's relationship with Arguello may not be the only one to come out of the reality matchmaking show.
