Is It Ever a Good Idea To Date Your Friends?

We all started school at the same time and became a social group pretty quickly into our first semester back in fall of Eventually it got bad enough that it was really becoming an issue, so I decided to go cold turkey and started going to therapy. This was honestly very easy, and my mood drastically improved. My friends were very supportive and seemed happy with the changes I was making. The issue started after a holiday party at the end of the semester. I had been sober for two weeks, which was the longest I had been sober since starting college. I spent the next year dating a different girl on and off, in a relationship with a ridiculous amount of conflict and problems, most of which were caused by the fact that my girlfriend felt I was having an emotional relationship with the first girl 1.
